South Florida enters Saturday's game at 1-0 after beating FIU 19-9 in its season opener. The Bulls were held to 208 total yards, but kicker Nico Gramatica made four field goals, including one from 53 yards. Michael Van Buren Jr. threw for 100 yards, while Jason Collins Jr. led the team with 59 rushing yards. South Florida did not commit a turnover and played a stifling defense in Brian Hartline's first game as head coach.
Army also enters at 1-0 after a 59-3 win over Bryant. The Black Knights rushed for 569 yards and finished with 648 total yards in one of the more dominant rushing performances you'll ever see. Zach Mundell led the way with 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns on just four carries, while quarterback Cale Hellums added 87 rushing yards and two scores. Army held Bryant to 165 total yards and only nine first downs.
