Please come make art with us!
People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to come in and use the free art materials and socialize and get to know one another. No experience is needed and it's a great place to come and be inspired. This is a great opportunity to share as both creator and witness. Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre (DBM), is a McGill University affiliated long-term care facility. Our mission is founded on a strong heritage of Jewish values and community support. We are here to care for aging members of the Quebec Jewish community who are no longer able to function independently and whose safety and well-being are entrusted to us by their families. The Centre serves as a training ground for caregivers and professionals and conducts research in geriatric medicine and care of the elderly. We also run a "Mensch Shed" which is affiliated with the Men's Shed, a place for retired men to gather, build and fix things. The "Bead Buddies", another group that has grown out of the Art Hive, welcomes community members to come make jewelry with us. We are a fertile group who welcomes new ideas. Please join us!
